Poliziano, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, 2019

Poliziano, an esteemed winery in Italy's Tuscany region, presents the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2019. This winery, established in 1961 by Dino Carletti, pays homage to Angelo Ambrogini, a Montepulciano native known as Poliziano.

The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is Poliziano's signature offering, ranking among Italy's most esteemed wines. Predominantly made from the Sangiovese grape, known locally as Prugnolo Gentile, it also includes small portions of Colorino, Canaiolo, and Merlot. The result is a wine with a robust yet elegant profile, featuring rich notes of red and black fruits, spices, and earthy undertones.

The winery's vineyards span approximately 120 hectares, primarily in the Montepulciano region. The varying soil compositions across these vineyards contribute to the distinct characteristics of the grapes, and by extension, the diversity of the wines produced. Poliziano takes great care to preserve the individuality of each vineyard throughout the winemaking process.

Poliziano's approach to winemaking strikes a balance between tradition and innovation. The winery leverages modern technology to enhance wine quality while honoring time-tested winemaking techniques. Their philosophy centers on crafting wines that embody the character of the land and the vintage.
