Ricasoli Winery, located in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine region, is the epitome of Tuscan wine culture. Nestled among gentle hills, velvety valleys, and thick woodlands of oaks and chestnuts, the property spans an impressive 1,200 hectares, which includes nearly 240 hectares of vineyards and 26 of olive groves. This creates a breathtaking panorama around the Brolio Castle, located within the town limits of Gaiole in Chianti, and a constant succession of colors and hues that paint a picture of Tuscany's natural beauty. Since 1993, Baron Francesco Ricasoli has been at the helm of this central Tuscan company, guiding it through innovative challenges. His stewardship is characterized by a deep respect for his ancestors, notably Bettino Ricasoli, who have played significant roles in shaping this territory. Francesco Ricasoli’s leadership has seen the introduction of new ideas and concepts aimed at making the vineyards sustainable. He has embarked on an ongoing study of soil types and a clonal selection of the Brolio Sangiovese, demonstrating his passion and commitment to the vineyards. His efforts have led to the total renovation and comprehensive mapping of the vineyards. The Ricasoli estate, located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region in Tuscany, Italy, boasts a rich history dating back to the 12th century. It is recognized as one of the oldest wineries in the world and the oldest in Italy. The Ricasoli family has been integral to the development of the region's winemaking, with Barone Bettino Ricasoli playing a crucial role in creating the original formula for Chianti wine in the 19th century. This formula has since become the basis for the modern Chianti Classico.

The CeniPrimo, a 2019 vintage, is a testament to the winery's historical and geographical significance. Grown in the southernmost part of the property on the great valley of the River Arbia, this wine's distinctive and complex soil sets it apart. Traces of an ancient river terrace dating back to the Pliocene-Pleistocene epochs can be found in the silty deposits, with slight evidence of stone, clay, a touch of limestone, and low organic matter.

The grapes for this wine were carefully hand-picked on October 12, 2019. The fermentation process occurred at a temperature of 24-27°C, with daily punching. The wine underwent maceration on the skins for approximately 14-16 days.

CeniPrimo was aged for 22 months in 500-litre tonneaux, with 30% being new and 70% second passage. The wine was finally bottled on March 7, 2022.

The taste profile of this Sangiovese grape wine is influenced by both its historic production process and its unique geographical location. With an alcohol level of 14%, it is a wine that can be appreciated by both connoisseurs and casual enthusiasts alike.

This wine is packaged in a 1,5 L bottle. Generally, larger bottles allow wine to age better.
