Tignanello is a legendary Super Tuscan wine produced by the Antinori family. The 2019 vintage continued the legacy of this acclaimed wine with some great characteristics.

2019 was a particularly good year for Tuscan wines. The year started with a mild winter, followed by a cool, rainy spring that replenished the soil's water reserves. The summer saw high temperatures and bright sunshine, providing ideal conditions for the ripening of the grapes. The favorable weather conditions in 2019 have led to excellent, high-quality wines with wonderful balance and structure.

Tignanello 2019 is typically a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. The exact proportions can vary from vintage to vintage, but it's usually about 80% Sangiovese, with the balance made up of the two Cabernet varieties. This gives the wine its distinctive character, combining the bright acidity and red fruit flavors of Sangiovese with the darker fruit notes and structure of the Cabernet grapes.

In the glass, Tignanello 2019 displays a deep ruby red color. On the nose, it offers a complex array of aromas, including ripe red and black fruits, spices, and a hint of earthiness. The palate is full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a long, persistent finish. The wine's natural acidity from the Sangiovese grape balances its rich flavors, making it a great wine to pair with a variety of foods, including grilled meats, hearty pastas, and aged cheeses.
