Armand de Brignac, often colloquially known as "Ace of Spades" due to its distinctive logo, is a range of high-end champagnes produced in the traditional Méthode Champenoise by Champagne Cattier, a French family-owned winery based in the Champagne region.
The brand became particularly famous after it was promoted by rapper and music producer Jay-Z, who later acquired a stake in the company. However, beyond its celebrity association, Armand de Brignac is recognized for its exceptional quality and craftsmanship.
Armand de Brignac offers several different cuvées, including a Brut Gold, Rosé, Demi Sec, and a Blanc de Blancs, each presented in striking metallic bottles with pewter labels.
Peach, apricot and red berry aromas are followed by crystalized citrus, orange blossom and hints of brioche. The palate is rich with cherries, exotic fruits and a touch of lemon, vanilla and honey. The mouth feel is soft and creamy, with a hint of toastiness, from the unique Armand de Brignac dosage which is aged for one year in French oak barrels.
