Langhe Nebbiolo is generally considered a more approachable style of Nebbiolo, offering an opportunity to enjoy the grape's characteristics without the extensive aging required by its more famous counterparts, Barolo and Barbaresco.
Boroli's Langhe Nebbiolo is fermented in stainless steel tanks, followed by a period of maturation in large oak barrels for 8 months before bottling. This allows the wine to develop depth and complexity, while still retaining the characteristic freshness and vibrancy of the Nebbiolo grape.
The exposure of the vineyards are North-West, North-East, and West. The soil is clayey and calcareous, with traces of sand, and the vines have an average age of 15-20 years.
The color is bright red. The scent is fresh and fruity, with notes of wild berries. On the palate the tannins are velvety, harmonious and balanced. The wine is medium to full-bodied, with Nebbiolo's characteristic high acidity and tannins securing structure and balance to the wine. Despite its approachability in youth compared to Barolo and Barbaresco, Boroli's Langhe Nebbiolo still offer good aging potential, with the ability to develop further complexity over several years.
